​The Delta State Small Claims Court offers several services to facilitate the resolution of minor monetary disputes

Filing of Small Claims

Individuals can initiate claims for liquidated monetary demands not exceeding N5,000,000 by completing the Small Claims Complaint Form (Form SCC 2).

Service of Summons

The court ensures timely service of summons to defendants within seven days of filing, with provisions for substituted service if necessary.

Case Assignment

Filed cases are promptly assigned to magistrates within 24 hours to expedite the hearing process. ​

Enforcement of Judgments

The court provides mechanisms for the enforcement of judgments, ensuring compliance with court orders.

Appeals Process

Parties have the right to appeal decisions, with specific procedures outlined for filing appeals.
